I wanna sing 03:42
I wanna sing a song from above I wanna shout and tell of my love I wanna cry, ’cause I feel so alive. And when you say that you feel it too, that’s when I know my life is in you and I can sing out loud the melody of love. My words will enfold you like a tender embrace, tell you of all you are to me. This melody will raise you up on eagle’s wings - I want my love to set you free. I wanna sing … This song will be your comfort like the faithful star, shining so softly on your way. These words will be your company when you awake, to walk with you throughout the day. I wanna sing ... Time goes by and some days are hard. But then I remember the way that you told me that you would be here all my life. And it makes me wanna sing …

Lord, you are my shepherd, I need nothing more; your love will gently lead me home. You pasture me in safety, protected by your gaze; in meadows of green you give me rest. And body, heart and soul, and body, heart and soul, alive and full under your watchful care. True to your name, Lord, you guide my way your staff protects and comforts me. In places of deep shadow, you are by my side; though foes look on, I feel no fear. My cup is more than full, my cup is more than full, blest and anointed in your love. You spread a table in the darkest hour; you bid me sit and wait on me. Goodness and love will tend me, where’er I go and lead me safely to your door. My home for all my days, my home for all my days, my dwelling place, my greatest joy; my dwelling place, my greatest joy.

Dark light 04:34
Mist lingers over the shallows, catching the winter sun. Everything’s moving so gently now, this year’s growth looks done - but somewhere, deep within us, a brand new life has come; so maybe someday, if we can find a way, we will rise as one. Shine on me, opening a way to the future, shine on me with your dark light. Snow settles over the landscape, softening the scars. Winter seems lifeless and endless now, under the moon and stars - yet somehow, you speak of rebuilding, after the snows have passed; offering us hope, helping us to cope and giving strength for the task. Shine on me, opening a way to the future, shine on me with your dark light. Hanging here in space, longing to see your face, you tell me all I have to do is look around. Shine on me, opening a way to the future, shine on me with your dark light.

I wanna be free, free of all that shackles me. My family, my community, we have so much to give. Though you’re so far away from us, you can help us live a better life. Today is the day, before it slips away today is the day to make a change. Time is running out. Today, the future is in doubt for the polar bear, the tiger, the list goes on and on. Do we care enough to change our way of life before they’re gone for evermore? Today is the day, before it slips away today is the day to make a change. Darkness and light lie all around. What kind of future will be found? We can be the generation that choose to hope in harmony, creativeness, the power of you and me. We can be those people, we can be those people. We can be those people, we can be those people. Today is the day, before it slips away today is the day to make a change.

Sometimes, life gets hard and we can lose our way. Sometimes it can be a struggle just to get through the day. Hold on, hold on. Sometimes, we need a sister or brother. Sometimes, we can help each other. Hold on Sometimes, when you’re hurting I can’t find words to say. Sometimes, I know what to do, but my feet just turn to clay. Hold on, hold on. Sometimes, we need a sister or brother. Sometimes, we can help each other. Hold on

The greed starts here, under our very noses. The best of intentions, the soundest of sense. The other side of the world, someone is dying. Is there nothing more that I can say? I can learn about the race, have the courage to show my face. I must do what I can do while my heart beats. I must do what I can do while my heart beats. So many guns in the hands of children. The causes are complex, the feelings are strong. More choice in bullets than rice in this global market - surely, there must be another way! Be a sign of joy and peace, be a symbol of release. I must do what I can do while my heart beats. I must do what I can do while my heart beats. Be a sign of joy and peace, be a symbol of release. I must do what I can do while my heart beats. I can learn about the race, have the courage to show my face. I must do what I can do while my heart beats.

Why? 04:39
Pounding the streets, searching for a revelation; searching my heart, to figure out what went wrong. Was it just a breakdown in communication? Or was our love never really all that strong? Why did you go away, just as your love was bringing me to life? Why did I not know until today that all I was giving you was trouble and strife? I ask you why… Turn on the news, there’s rockets going into Israel; while over in Gaza, they’re levelling the score. There’s rumours of peace, but nothing seems to be changing It’s hard to hear anything over the clamour of war. Why does it go around and around? Cycles of violence are headlines every day. Why can a way not be found to welcome the foreigner, the one who lives another way? I ask you why… Why does it drive us apart, sadness and suffering, heartache and greed? Why can we not find it in our hearts to struggle for unity, focussed on each other’s need? I ask you why… Why?

Galatea 05:38
Been with you in the studio, day after day, slowly shaping your form. If I told you that I love you, would you stand there just the same, or would your outstretched hand start to warm? To feel your breath upon my cheek, this is my prayer … To be lost in your embrace, to hold eternity in an instant. To be lost in your embrace, to see the world in a grain of sand. I stand here and I gaze at you, day after day, hardly moving at all. As I catch your eye, I wonder how it feels to be so still, and somewhere deep inside I hear your call. To be as one and share your peace, this is my prayer … To be lost in your embrace, to be together for all ages. To be lost in your embrace, beyond the ravages of time. You stand before me perfect now, day after day, icon of beauty and love; and on your face there shines a light that brightens all my days - the love of life, descending like a dove. That precious gift may I bear too, this is my prayer … To be lost in your embrace, passion for a lifetime To be lost in your embrace, eternity is now

Here she comes, head held low, a picture of concentration, taking the shortest route from A to B, in her sonic isolation. She walks by you every day, but does she ever see your face? Rushing down the street, pounding her feet, in her blind determination. She’s a girl in a hurry, ain’t got no time. In such a hurry, walkin’ that line. She’s a girl in a hurry, ain’t got no time for you. There she goes, on her way, oblivious to your attention, with her bag on her back, her training shoes and her mp3 collection. You could try to walk her way, but you’d have to pick up the pace: livin’ in haste, no time to waste, making virtual connections. She’s a girl in a hurry ... You wanna slow her down, lighten her frown, set her free, help her to see. You wanna turn her round, from lost to found, draw her into community. She’s a girl in a hurry…

At the turning of the tide, when in and out collide and it seems like nothing’s happening at all. At the turning of the tide, we’re standing side by side, could the barriers between us start to fall? Oh, I hope so, ’cause we’ve waited for so long, could a brighter future start today? And I believe so, if we say the time has come and we stand together, at the turning of the tide. At the breaking of the day, when fear gets in the way, it’s so hard to tell your brother from your foe. At the breaking of the day, as the darkness melts away, could a clearer horizon begin to show? Oh, I hope so, ’cause we’ve waited for so long, could a brighter future start today? And I believe so, if we say the time has come and we open up our eyes, at the breaking of the day. At the parting of the ways, if we can’t penetrate the haze, we’re bound to make mistakes we’ve made before. Or could the parting of the ways be the start of better days, could our future open up to something more? Oh, I hope so, ’cause we’ve waited for so long, could a brighter future start today? And I believe so, if we say the time has come and we take the road less travelled, at the parting of the ways. How many? How long? Be now

Sunrise, sunset Blue into purple, orange to gold, as we set out on our way. Vision can lead us to wonder on this ordinary day. Too many of us never see this, walking around so blinkered and so blind. Why can’t we see the sunrise, sunset? (take me away) Sunrise, sunset (to a brighter day) Sunrise, sunset Ducking and diving, wheeling and whirling yet moving as one: these starlings have something to teach us in the evening sun. My fascination draws me deeper, rumours of angels wrestling for our souls take me away into the sunrise, sunset (take me away) Sunrise, sunset (to a brighter day) Sunrise, sunset Lightning and clifftops, seascapes and hills hanging on these walls, beckoning moments of splendour out of memory’s halls. These images have power to raise me, firing my spirit, opening my eyes so I can see the sunrise, sunset (take me away) Sunrise, sunset (to a brighter day) Sunrise, sunset (so I can see) Sunrise, sunset (the wonder around me) Sunrise, sunset (please let me stay) Sunrise, sunset (in this wondrous day)

Sitting shellshocked north of the river, bike in pieces on the road; Fear and pity in the eyes of strangers, as my life slowly ebbs away. Why do they stand and stare, why can I get no air? Hard sunset, as the darkness closes in. Colours are fading now, like the heartbeat beneath my skin. Things don’t look too good for me and there’s still so much to do and see. Hard sunset, hard sunset. Sunset (what’s that voice I hear) Sunset (something’s drawing near) Sunset The swan. The curlew’s cry. Out of the mist into the sun. Dappled shades in a silver sky. Traffic’s building up, I’m going down. Strange sunset, these voices in my head. So sorry baby, for all those things I said. Time slipped by like sand, things got out of hand. Strange sunset, strange sunset. Sunset Sunset Seagulls shrieking rise from the river. Heron fishing in the shallows. A warm embrace as I start to shiver. The scent of garlic fills the air. The bushes in bloom. The painting in our room. This long sunset, giving me time to see all those precious moments, just for you and me. Simple as bread and wine, precious as the gift of time. Long sunset, long sunset. Sunset (ah, I remember) Sunset (yes, I remember) Sunset Spiders spinning ’neath streetlights. Sap like incense from the trees. I-Pod bubbles along the Peace Mile as Chinoy’s Pagoda shines! Suspended in the afterglow of days full of life. A waning moon surveys the scene. Head full of beautiful memories of my wife, our love, our home, our child! Sweet sunset – this darkness holds no fear. We may be miles apart my love, but tonight you feel so near. I pray you come to see just what you mean to me in this sweet sunset, sweet sunset. Sunset (what’s that voice I hear) Sunset (now I’m drawing near) Sunset (who’s that face I see) Sunset (someone’s calling me) Sunset (take me away) Sunset May I breathe forth my soul in peace with you. Ah… men

A time of drought – life has lost its sweetness – never-ending blistering heat So hard to move, you’re surrounded by dreams that died along the way Ev’ry gesture seems empty, ev’ry morning the same You’re picking your way through the desert of the heart You’re keeping on – going through the motions – more out of habit than hope Round in circles, this trackless desert is draining you of all your strength Doubts try to waylay you, living without your dreams But you’re stumbling on each day, through the desert of the heart Don’t give up – one day after another – a path will form beneath your feet This time will pass, you’ll find a way to escape this wilderness of fear A brighter day will be dawning, there’s a trickle of grace Believe you’re making a way through the desert of the heart Keep moving - don’t give up Keep breathing - don’t give up Keep trying - don’t give up Keep believing - don’t give up
